Behind the music
Honestly, I don’t really have any connection to Scotland beyond a few vacation trips, as I already mentioned with the acoustic version of this piece.
When I wrote this melody in 2022, I think my first idea was to turn it into an electronic track. Only after trying a few different approaches did I realize that a version built around traditional instruments could work just as well — maybe even better.
In the end, there are two versions. But let’s just say this one came first.
