Behind the music
This is one of those songs that needed time to mature. The instrumental version came first, sometime around 2022. For a long time, I wasn’t sure whether I should leave it that way or turn it into a song. In the end, both versions exist now.
This particular version — the song — had to wait for its lyrics, because I wasn’t completely sure what it was supposed to be about. The melody isn’t exactly cheerful, so writing something full of happiness and euphoria was never really an option.
Then, around April 2026, an idea finally started to grow in my mind, and for better or worse, I turned it into lyrics.
