The Future Foundry

This piece dates from early 2026, and creating it completely consumed me. My studio monitors were practically shaking, and the first demo already sounded pretty great — even my wife asked me to put the track on her phone right away, even though I kept telling her it wasn’t finished yet.

The final version differs from the original by using a vocal built around an invented word in a nonexistent language, repeated with almost obsessive persistence. In the demo, that voice was imitated with a synthesizer. Sounds like this can completely pull me in sometimes.

In my creative process, I usually end up making this kind of music right after writing something lyrical or a romantic song. It’s a way of letting off steam. The truth is, alongside all those lyrical pieces, electronic music is my other love.
