From the very beginning, this album was conceived as a cohesive whole, but also as a clear step in a new direction after Morskie Oko.

Behind the music
All of the tracks were planned from the beginning as part of one complete album. The record came together several years after Morskie Oko, and it was very important to me that it would not simply repeat that earlier style or material. I wanted to go in a different direction.
I came up with the idea of combining this material with elements of world music. To be honest, when I was creating these pieces, I did not yet have the technical possibilities or access to musicians and musical resources from other parts of the world, so the first demo version was recorded in a more modest form. Even so, the idea behind this music was there from the very beginning. A good example is the third track, “Welcome to Heaven,” which was conceived with that direction almost from the start.
At first, I also imagined the album with a more electronic character, but later I decided that more traditional instrumentation would work better. I never completely gave up on the idea of an electronic version of this material, though, which is why many of the tracks later received their own alternate electronic versions.
In the end, the album as a whole took shape in a world music style. After Morskie Oko, I was simply hungry for something new and wanted to create something genuinely different.
